Tonka the Chimp (TONKA)

Tonka is a chimpanzee who starred in several Hollywood movies including George of the Jungle and Buddy and the Chimp Crazy documentary. He was born in captivity on October 5, 1991, and taken from his mother too early to work in the entertainment industry. After his acting career, Tonka was kept in a series of substandard facilities, including a primate breeding compound in Missouri, where he faced neglect and isolation and PETA got involved and saved him.
