Inspired by the Tīwaiwaka, the fantail bird in Māori tradition known as the messenger of Papatūānuku, the Earth Mother, this project is grounded in six indigenous principles centered on balance, stewardship, and unity.

While most AI projects chase speed, scale, and dominance, this movement asks a different question:

What values should guide the systems we build?

Rooted in the teachings of Pā Ropata, Rob McGowan, and the Tīwaiwaka movement in Aotearoa, these principles now inform the foundation behind $LORIA.

Instead of chasing power and scale at any cost, the framework stands on simple priorities:

• Land before profit
• Community before extraction
• Humility over dominance
• Long-term balance over short-term gain

There is a concept called the 16 percent shift. When just 16 percent of a network adopts a new way of thinking, it can create a tipping point.
