Since her birth in July 2020, Fu Bao has become a major celebrity in South Korea, capturing the hearts of fans at Everland Resort’s Panda World in Yongin. Born to Ai Bao and Le Bao as part of China's “panda diplomacy,” Fu Bao is the country’s first naturally-bred panda. Everland’s social media has shared a wealth of videos, leading to over 1.2 million YouTube subscribers and more than 500 million views as of February. An eight-month-old two-hour video of her early life has received 1.6 million views, with one comment noting, “Fu Bao, you’re a happy treasure that came to us like a miracle during the difficult Covid pandemic.
