Fritz (FRITZ)

Fritz the Cat, created by R. Crumb in the 60's, has always been a huge source of inspiration for Matt Furie, the creator of Pepe. Fritz first appeared in a comic book, where he goes on hedonistic and rebellious adventures in a satirical, adult-oriented comic. In the late 1972 the film 'Fritz the Cat' went viral in Hollywood. Many big Hollywood stars, such as Leonardo Dicaprio are huge Crumb-fans.
