Donkey is a fictional character created by William Steig and adapted by DreamWorks Animation for the Shrek franchise. He is the second main character in the movie Shrek and appears in all the Shrek movies. Donkey is an anthropomorphic donkey and his appearance is modeled after a miniature donkey named Perry. Donkey is voiced primarily by Eddie Murphy, but Mark Moseley voices him in the video games and Dean Edwards voices him in Scared Shrekless and Thriller Night
