Building atop its indexing capabilities, Dcomy has developed two specific applications, namely an Atomic Cross-Chain Swap and a Privacy-Preserving Crypto-Currency Mixer.
Dcomy’s Atomic Cross-Chain Swap allows for the exchange of assets across multiple blockchains through a distributed coordination process. Unlike many other solutions that require a trusted third party to facilitate the swap, Dcomy uses a provably-secure cryptographic approach. This involves the use of a Hashed Timelock Contract, which acts as a virtual safe and requires both parties to confirm receipt of funds within a certain timeframe. By utilising this method, traders can perform cross-chain trades without relying on centralised platforms.
Dcomy has also developed a Privacy-Preserving Crypto-Currency Mixer that allows for the secure handling of privileged information in decentralised systems. This mixer uses a new design point to provide a mixing protocol and system that can withstand adversarial operators who may try to steal coins or violate anonymity guarantees.
