Yaya(娅娅) was brought back to the Beijing Zoo in April 2023. Upon her return, Yaya appeared quite thin and was experiencing fur loss due to a genetic skin condition, which caused concern among many Chinese people and even led to accusations that the U.S. zoo had not provided proper care.
