Meet Hugo The Baby Pygmy Hippo born at the John Balls Zoo in Michigan U.S.

Hugo was the first pygmy hippo ever born at John Ball Zoo.
His mother is named Penelope and his father is Jahari (first-time parents).
Hugo made his first limited public appearance on October 27, 2025, for zoo members only, to help him acclimate with fewer visitors and the Zoo plans to open his exhibit to all visitors on November 1st
