$SYNC is the native token powering Mech Girls vs Kaiju, an on-chain risk protocol on Base. The supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 tokens, minted once at genesis to the Vault contract. There are no emissions and no inflation — when the gameplay allocation is fully dripped to the Reactor, the earn phase ends and $SYNC becomes a purely traded asset.

Mech Girl NFTs staked in the Reactor accumulate $SYNC continuously. Players choose between safe Harvest (keep 77% net after Kaiju tax and protocol fee) or risky Emergency Extract (50/50 coin flip via Chainlink VRF — win and keep 100%, lose and a Kaiju takes 97%). Kaiju NFTs earn from the tax pool, Extract failures, and Gen1 mint hijacks.

Every Gen1 mint burns $SYNC. 97% of the burn cost is permanently destroyed, creating structural deflation on top of the fixed cap. 9 Legendary Kaiju can perform the Kidnap — locking a Mech Girl NFT in the contract for 24 hours and farming it for themselves.
